The Magic Garden Global Literacy Project is a project designed to demonstrate to educators and their students how good curriculum can be delivered and the outcomes published, using new technology such as blogs, writeboard, photo board and many other exciting applications. Students and adults from all over the world are currently growing virtual gardens as part of this project. Hey, Lori, that is neat. I really like what you did with this image. Makes me think of when I was a kid at the beach with my parents. That was a l-o-n-g time ago.

how did you get the crinkled paper effect, I think that’s great and really adds to the aged effect

It’s really easy. I found an image of crinkled paper. I selected a portion of the image and copied it. I pasted it as a layer over my beach image. Then on the layers palette, I selected the layer containing the paper image, then changed the blending mode of the layer to overlay. Voila.
